Not only was this book beautifully written, but the depth of the characters was as incredible and the story was powerful. In addition, the author draws you into the story with such amazingly believable dialect and mannerisms for the small-town southern mixed culture of the 70s and 80s. The relationships she develops between the characters, some simple and some more complex, is steller. Remarkable book in my opinion. Florence Osmund
