Only two days after Love and Protest launched, I received an email with a picture attached. It was of my friend, her face beaming proudly as she held up her newly arrived copy—the first purchase. Not long after, two more friends texted me pictures of them and my new book.
If this was “a thing,” I wasn’t aware, until then. And it sure made me happy. So, in the spirit of fun and giggles, I reached out to some other friends to send me photos. The pictures poured in.
About three weeks after that, I went to the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and snapped a picture of everyone who bought a copy and stood in line to get an autograph.
I couldn’t keep all the fun to myself, so I put together this video. I love looking at it, and hope you will, too.
